With around 260 participants, in November 2025 at the University of Innsbruck, we have discussed recent development-political topics close to the overall topic of “peace, justice and strong institutions”, have connected and shared ideas, learned and experienced.

For more than two decades, the Development Conference has been and continues to be the central space for exchange of the Austrian development research community and this year in particular showed how closely global stability, democratic structures, and social justice are connected with each other.
