GEP and HSK/IE

The GEP and HSK/IE publication series are German-language platforms for critical engagement with global development issues from interdisciplinary and historically grounded perspectives.
They address topics such as political, economic, social, and cultural transformations, global inequalities, and development theory and policy.
Both series aim to present socially relevant knowledge in an accessible way and are widely used in academic teaching, particularly at the undergraduate level.
While GEP focuses on scholarly contributions to current development debates, HSK/IE is designed to provide concise, pedagogically oriented material that links historical and contemporary global challenges—making both series valuable resources for students, educators, and interested readers.

The Journal für Entwicklungspolitik (JEP)

JEP is one of the leading academic journals for issues relating to development theory and policy in German-speaking countries. The aim of the JEP is to provide a forum for broad critical discussion and reflection on various dimensions of social developments in the South and North. In doing so, it also explores the relationship between theoretical developments in the field of development research and concrete development policy processes. Socially relevant knowledge about development problems and development policy is prepared and made accessible using an interdisciplinary approach.
